The intensely flavoured fruit for this shiraz comes from Bendigo vineyards on the "fringes" of our estate and reflects a terroir different to that of our estate. Pleasantly earthy on the nose, the wine reveals a full palate of brambly forest fruits.

Careful oak management secured a balanced, integrated wine with good ageing potential.  Alc./Vol. 15.0%.

A blend of grapes from two Bendigo vineyards, this cabernet displays berry and ripe red fruit aromas. The palate brings a harmonious mingling of cherries and sweet liquorice notes, which build and integrate as the wine develops.

The tannins are firm yet approachable. Alc./Vol. 13.0%.

Subtle aromas of cherries, anise and cloves predict the rich depth of flavour on the palate. This is a quietly complex, intensely-flavoured cabernet where dark berries and black cherries unwind over the savouriness of finely ground spices and integrated French oak for a memorable finish.

Firm, fine-grained tannins make this a wine which will cellar well.  Alc./Vol. 13.5%.

Our single-vineyard, estate shiraz shows depth and elegance combined in a full-bodied package. Blackberries and plums linger on the palate, complemented by a bit of spice. Soft, silky tannins are a legacy of the subtle use of French and American oak over a period of 18 months.

Delightful now, but worth cellaring too.  Alc./Vol. 14.5%.

Our first 100% Nebbiolo, and what a marvelous debut. The classic firm nebbiolo tannins are there, but are superbly balanced by ripe red fruit. Violets and toast on the nose lead on to a soft, round palate of dried cherries with a smoky undercurrent, finishing on a savoury note.

Definitely a food wine -- match it with a wild mushroom risotto.  Alc./Vol. 13.8%.

A classic Aussie blend. Beautiful, ripe fruit – 70% Shiraz and 30% Cabernet -- from the vines of three of our long-standing growers in the Bendigo region has produced a wine that is very approachable in its youth. On the palate, the shiraz lends spice and the cabernet floral notes to a mix of clean, dark fruits.

A neat, dry finish showing layers of flavour.  Alc./Vol. 15.0%.

The flavour of sweet dark plums marries here with an earthy savouriness to produce a round, full-bodied wine with gentle tannins.

Matured for 18 months in French oak, this merlot stands proud as a straight varietal wine, well-structured and brimming with flavour. Alc./Vol. 13.5%.

A taut youthful package just waiting to explode on the palate with a profusion of blackcurrant, plums and licorice. Maturity gained through careful cellaring will spark the explosion.

Definitely one to put down. Fresh acidity and firm, fine tannins will ensure a long life.  Alc./Vol. 14.7%.

The rich, ripe fruit going into this shiraz produced a full-bodied wine supported by a backbone of fine, silky tannins. Vanilla and cherries on the nose progress to the palate as well, complemented there by caramels and a slight dash of mocha. Allowing this wine to age will bring out more fruit and spice.  Alc./Vol. 14.5%

With grapes sourced from our oldest and lowest-yielding vines, this wine reveals its pedigree in its balance and complexity. Deep purple with a fresh edge, it shows spicy oak and cherries on the nose. The lengthy, velvety palate follows through with dark berries and a light hint of pepper. 2006 was a beautiful vintage. Patience in cellaring for five to ten years will be well-rewarded.
